Studio policies
What women ask before a first class.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
Watching class
You can bring a friend to a first class, or sit on the bench and watch one before you decide; ask at the front desk. In regular classes we keep the floor to students, so everyone can practice without an audience.
What to wear and bring
A t-shirt and loose pants or leggings you can move in. Shoes come off at the mat, jewelry comes out, hair is tied back and nails are short. We have wraps and pads to use for your first class, and we tell you at joining how to get your own.
When to stay home
If you have a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, stay home and send us a message. You don't need to explain. If an old injury changes how you want to practice, tell the instructor privately at the start of class.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for major holidays. When the weather makes driving hard, we post it on this site and text anyone who has asked us to.
Leaving the studio
Membership runs month to month. Tell us in writing 30 days ahead, and ask us how to pause. The tuition page has the details.
Phones and filming
Phones stay on silent and out of the practice area. We don't film or photograph class without everyone's agreement, and you can always ask us to leave you out.
Absences and late arrival
Tell us ahead if you can't come, by message or at the front desk. If you arrive late, join after the warm-up when an instructor waves you in.
